My name is Sebastian Guyher, but to most, go by Teiko—the guy at Teiko Auto Sales in Opa-locka who can find any part, fix any car, and always greets you with grease on my hands and a smile. I’m 43, and my shop has been my family’s lifeline for years.
That changed instantly on Thursday night, November 13, 2025, when a vehicle suddenly erupted in flames. One second I was standing there—the next, my clothes were on fire, and pain like I’ve never known consumed me. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue carried me away, but not before the flames left 2nd and 3rd-degree burns across my face, both hands, arms to my elbows, buttocks, and legs. I’m now at Jackson Memorial Ryder Trauma Center, hands and legs wrapped in bandages, fighting every day to heal.
The burn team is preparing me for ReCell surgery, a cutting-edge treatment in which they take a small patch of my healthy skin and spray it with “spray-on cells” to regrow what was lost. It’s my best chance at healing with less scarring, especially on my face and hands—the tools I’ve used to provide for my family and serve my community.
But the road is long:
• Weeks in the hospital
• Months of physical and occupational therapy
• Mountains of medical bills
I’ve always been the provider, the fixer, the one people call when they’re stuck. Now, I need your help.
