Sebastian has been with me since the day he was born. He’s a small dog with a big heart — half Pekingese, half Pomeranian, and part Rat Terrier. He’s my loyal companion through everything life has thrown my way.

When my mom developed dementia, my life turned upside down. I was living on someone’s couch, working every day, and leaving Sebastian in her care. Unfortunately, during that time, someone who was supposed to help us often left Sebastian outside, neglected and covered in stickers. My sweet boy suffered because of it.

Recently, Sebastian became very ill. X-rays showed that he has pneumonia, and tests confirmed he’s positive for heartworms. He was started on doxycycline, but I could only afford one month of the medication. Just that first round of care — the X-rays and prescription — cost over $850. Since then, he’s been off the medication for weeks, and I’m terrified that time is running out.

Sebastian needs three more treatments. Each costs $1,000, for a total of $3,000. I’ve been doing everything I can, looking for steady work and trying to cover expenses, but I simply can’t afford this life-saving treatment on my own.

I’m asking for help because Sebastian means the world to me. He deserves a chance to heal, to run and play again, and to live the happy life every dog should.
