I'm Mark Montalban, custodial parent to my son, Sebastian Roymontalban, who has multiple disabilities (Katie Beckett Medicaid), was recently diagnosed with a chronic wasting disease causing great pain & extreme weight loss. We are facing out of pocket expenses to treat him, improve his quality of life & relieve the pain, with limited funds. The recent additional diagnosis of Eosinophilic Esophagitis means his Esophagas is inflamed, getting scarred, constant digestive pain, and a loss of weight over 18 month from 157lb to 122lb on a 5' 7-1/2'' frame. This is in addition to having no normal sleep cycle, neuro-sensory issues including intensive hearing sensitivity, but the gastrointestinal issue is impacting his ability to simply function. Our broad support team includes his Pediatric Gastroenterologist Dr. Michael D'Amico, Primary Physican Dr. Tara Pollock, Nutritionist Susie Polgreen, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Scott Moylan, MS concerning this complex comorbidity. We need to utilize more than basic Western medicine blockers and work with naturopathic, TCM, Western herbalism, supplements, and other modalities to bring this aggressive auto-immune illness into remission because literally his white blood cells are attacking his Esophagas, and inflaming other areas of his body, increasing his other health problems.
