Dear friends and family,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for prayers and financial support for two people who mean the world to me — my amazing boyfriend, Sebastian, and his best friend, Esteban.

While visiting the beach in Ecuador for a holiday, they were violently drugged and robbed late at night. Around 9 PM, the boys were sitting at a beachfront restaurant when something was slipped into their drinks, leaving them completely helpless. During this time, they were kidnapped and caught in a dangerous situation involving gunfire. By the grace of God, they survived.

The attackers drained the money from their bank accounts and stole their phones, jewelry, and personal belongings. Sebastian and Esteban were later abandoned on the beach with their legs tied together and their bodies covered in bruises. Thankfully, two men found them and contacted the police, who were able to return them to their hotel safely.

This traumatic experience has left them not only emotionally shaken but also financially devastated. Both of them work full-time while attending university, and recovering from a loss like this — especially given the current economic climate in Ecuador — will be incredibly difficult.
