Help Seba get back to the water‍♂️

Many of you who are local to our area know Seba "Sebastian Gutierrez." for those who are not local; he is a 16-year-old grom who loves everything "water," surfing, fishing, skurfing and so much more. We have had a lot of fun surf lately, and Seba was out there every day. Sunday, January 23rd, was no different. It was just before dark, and Seba boosted for an air and landed it. With all the excitement, he went to hit another section and fell off his board and unfortunately went head 1st hit the sand bottom. He came to shore, walked out of the water and immediately complained of severe neck pain.  Fellow Surfers on the beach called 911 immediately, and Seba was transported and admitted to St. Marys Hospital. He suffered three fractured cervical vertebras. After an MRI, the doctors decided that putting a steel plate into his neck would be the best and quickest way for Seba to make a full recovery. Seba underwent surgery early this morning and everything went well. He will have at least 6 months of recovery ahead of him. As you can imagine, this is every parent's worst nightmare. As a grom, you think you are invincible and "that would/could never happen to me" All of Seba's friends have asked us, parents, to start a Go Fund Me page to help with anything Seba may need throughout his recovery and healing process.
