Help Seany's fight to recovery

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Liz, and I’m reaching out to ask for your support for my beloved big brother, Sean Spurlin. On October 15th 2024, Sean, at just 30 years old, suffered a sudden cardiac arrest that has changed our lives forever. He is currently receiving care at Orlando Health Central, but we’re facing a long, uncertain road to recovery.

Sean is a fighter. Despite his fear of hospitals he has bravely endured the challenges of being in the ICU, navigating multiple doctors and treatments. However, it has been difficult for our family to find consistent and compassionate care. We are working hard to advocate for Sean, pushing for his continuous care and for an open MRI that he urgently needs.

We need your help to get him the best possible treatment and a chance at recovery. Two separate individuals tried to declare him "brain dead", yet he was able to open his eyes, look at me, squeeze my hand, and show reflexes to stimuli. A Nuclear medicine test showed that Sean is NOT brain dead and is receiving blood flow to the brain. The emotional, physical, and financial toll of this journey has been overwhelming. We’ve witnessed how bedside manners and communication between doctors have failed him, and we are determined to ensure Sean is treated with the dignity and care he deserves. That EVERYONE deserves.

Your support will help cover the mounting medical expenses, from specialists and tests to hospital transfers and rehabilitation. This money will then help us have the right tools, nurses, and equipment set up to do home care when he can be even more closely managed. Your donations will also help support our family, as my dad is the breadwinner and has taken leave of absence at work to care for my brother. My parents still have young children at home and we desperately miss Seany. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to providing Sean with the care he needs to regain his health and, ultimately, his life.

Sean is a loving, kind-hearted person who means the world to our family. He is smart, funny, and full of so much love and joy. He deserves a second chance to live a full, happy life, free from the limitations of his condition. Your generosity will help make that possible.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us during this incredibly difficult time. Your prayers, shares, and donations mean more than words can express. Together, we can help Sean recover and take the next steps toward healing.

Thank you, from a little sister who needs her big brother.
