Help Sean’s Transplant Journey
Donation protected
Hi everyone. My name is Shelley McNulty and this fund is for my brother, Sean McNulty, who has suffered some significant health issues for several years. In March 2017, Sean suffered from acute renal failure and Guillain-Barré Syndrome simultaneously. He spent 3 months in the ICU and required a ventilator to help him breathe. His journey to recovery was long and hard. Guillain-Barré robbed us of his smile due to the muscles in his face being permanently damaged. For the past seven and a half years, dialysis became a staple in his day-to-day life due to renal failure. However, in April 2024, dialysis no longer helped. His kidney function declined rapidly, and within a matter of days, his health took a turn for the worse, leading to the urgent need for a kidney transplant.
Thanks to the generosity of a kidney donor, Sean is now in recovery, but the road ahead remains long and uncertain. With months of recovery still to come, Sean has been unable to work, and the financial burden on him and his family is growing.
I am creating this fund-raiser to help Sean with the huge medical expenses and to generate a source of income for him and his kids while he recovers. Since he works in a commission-based business supplemented by shifts in the service industry, he has no income during his long recovery and has burned through savings as his health declined over the last 8 months. As a dedicated father, his priority is always to his two children, and we are asking for your support to help alleviate some of the financial strain so that Sean can focus on healing and rebuilding his health. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a tremendous difference during this difficult time. Thank you for keeping Sean in your thoughts and for your support.
