Hello my name is Sean Stymie Sharp. I am a singer, songwriter and cartoonist. I was born in Southern California, with my folks coming from Birmingham Alabama, to carve out a better life for us. I am currently trying to make it out to California to restart my dream of composing, illustrating and performing. I am looking for a live-work place which I can call my very own so I can grow my business and work and tell my own story as a Black artist and American in this current state we are in. With the awakening of America, due to the deaths of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd, I have heard of conversations of social equity of which I would love for my mom and I to have access to. We, like many other minorities, were victims of redlining and I am hoping sometime in this lifetime for equality. COVID forced my business to shut down and made it impossible to maintain my professional and personal life as well as basic necessities. As a 53 year old man with severe aortic disease, hypertension and mental illness, I am in need of shelter, stability, and peace so that I can get back to my art and perform for my community. Anyway, I need help getting my old cat and me back to California and finding a home, any help would be so very appreciated.
