My name is James McVay, and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of a dear friend, Sean Kernick, who has recently experienced the heartbreaking and unexpected loss of his mom, Nancy. Nancy lived with Sean in his apartment to help care for him. Sean has been confined to a walker, due to his medical situation, and is unable to drive or find work.

Losing a parent is never easy, but to lose someone so suddenly leaves little time to emotionally or financially prepare. Nancy was a kind, loving, and generous person, who meant the world to Sean and the rest of the family. Her passing has left a huge hole in Sean's life and in the lives of the many others who knew her.

I am reaching out to the community, friends, and anyone else who may be moved by this story, to help ease some of Sean's stress during this unimaginably difficult time. Any amount, no matter how small, will go directly to Sean to help catch up on medical bills and any other bills he may have, as he transitions to a new living space as soon as possible. Thank you!
