Help my dad Sean in his fight with cancer

Donation protected
Update for my dad;

Dad went in the hospital in Kingston on January 6th to have surgery to remove the cancer from his liver. The surgery happened as scheduled. During surgery dad bled alot and had to have several blood transfusions. It turned into a 11 hour surgery. He was then put into an induced coma and was able to respond by squeezing the nurses hand when they wanted him to respond. This went on for three days and then dad went into a coma and was not able to respond to the nurses in any way. There was a meeting yesterday and one Dr. said that he may not be responding because he had a stroke. She said that he may never be able to respond like he did before surgery. The other Dr. said that dads body could just be tired and right now its all just a waiting game. He is on a two week plan. In one week they will be possibly be taking out the ventilator. This would be a good thing seeing as having it in could cause infections or pnumonia. Dad needs to wake up and we all want him home. Dad is considered to be in critical condition and his injuries could be severe. Again we hope this is not the case. He has been in a coma for almost two weeks now. We are just hoping to raise some money for dad to keep things going for him while he is in the hospital. More updates to follow as soon as we know anything. Thank you to everyone for you thoughts and support at this difficult time. Love and Hugs

Hello. My name is Lily Boggs and I am fundraising for my Dad Sean who found out in July that the factory he works in is closing and he has  colon cancer that has spread to his liver. His journey began 3 plus years ago. He started to have stomach and back pain. After making lots of Dr.'s appointments and trying to get to the bottom of it all he was told that he had gluten issues and that his back was just sore from factory work. This pain went on for a long time and because of only being in his early 40's there were no real tests ordered to get to the real issues.

Flash forward to August of this year, he was getting sicker by the day. He finally decided to go to BGH emergency department and find out what was going on. While there, they did a ct scan and came back telling him that he had a full bowel blockage and also that he had cancer in his liver.  At this point he was scared and trying to make sense out of it all. He was transferred immediately to KGH for a major surgery to have the blockage removed.  After numerous appointments between Belleville and Kingston dad started his first round of chemo on October the 7th. This lasted for 4 sessions but is 8 weeks in duration. After the chemo he was suppose to be able to have liver surgery to remove 50% of his liver and keep the good 50%. They did an MRI and the plan had to change. Dad now has two new spots of cancer which are on what was the good side. Now we wait for chemo to start again and go from there,

The purpose of this go fund me is to help with all the costs of him being off work. He has limited insurance which does not cover all of his living expenses, travel to Kingston, parking and meals. The majority of his appointments require a driver as the treatments and tests make him sore and sick. I am in university and not close by and my brother is in grade 11. We try to help as much as we can. Any amount would be appreciated to help get him through this difficult journey and road ahead. I will update as it happens.
