Sean’s Story:

Our friend and Lazy Lobster teammate, Sean Swaskee, has been through more than anyone should ever have to endure. Sean is not only a dedicated and hardworking server but also a single father to a beautiful 6-year-old girl who is his world.

Two years ago, Sean suffered a serious leg fracture that required surgery. He was unable to work for eight months and had no income during that time. Despite the financial hardship, Sean kept pushing forward, relying on the kindness of friends to provide a place to live for him and his daughter.

Just as things were beginning to improve, Sean faced a life-or-death medical crisis this summer. He was rushed into emergency surgery after developing perforated diverticulitis with abscess and sepsis. Doctors told him bluntly: without surgery, he would not survive.

Thankfully, Sean pulled through the surgery, but the road since has been incredibly difficult. His body is still healing from the trauma, and he remains in severe pain and unable to work. Recovery will take months, leaving him once again without income — and with mounting medical bills, rent, and the daily costs of raising his little girl.
