Help Sean Erler Overcome Private Student Debt
Donation protected
Hi,
I’m Sean Erler. I am a 25-year-old Indigenous (Ojibwe) man asking for your financial support to help pay off my student debt.
I grew up in a low-income, single-parent household. I have spent the past six years working part-time while enrolled in college. During college, I received multiple scholarships intended to support students of color. However, after finally earning my bachelor’s degree last year, I am being faced with crushing student debt. My living situation has become increasingly unstable since my student loan payments started, and I am currently unable to afford rent. The interest being added to my payments each month is making it impossible to make any progress on paying my debt off.
I am currently working full-time at a non-profit mentoring indigenous youth, which is extremely important to me, but the salary from this position is not nearly enough to support me. If I am able to pay off this debt, I will not only be able to experience financial security for the first time in my life, but will be able to serve more effectively as a pillar of support for my community. Thank you.
