As many of you know, my parents Sean and Debbie have dealt with housing insecurity for a long time. Both disabled and on Social Security, finding a safe place to live has been a struggle. But my wonderful sister Mindy and her family came through! She has purchased a beautiful trailer home for my parents to live in! We are very excited!
Unfortunately, the apartment they are currently living in was recently ravaged by bedbugs. They have no beds or couches, and are currently living life from two broken recliners. So I'm turning to our community for help in furnishing their beautiful new home!
If you don't know my wonderful parents, let me briefly introduce you! They have devoted their lives to their six kids and thirteen grandkids. In 2018, they took over Happy Suds Laundry at Central and Western Skies, where our community's problem with homelessness is front and center. In the two and half years my parents ran that laundry, they clothed, fed, and provided gentle and kind human connection to countless people in need. They are all heart!
For those of you who know Sean and Debbie, I'm sure you have a story of how they've helped you and loved you. If you are able, please help us get them some nice furniture for their beautiful new home!
