Help Sean and Felisha Haaverson

Dear Friends, Sean and Felisha Haaverson, long time Paramedic and EMT, need our help. Some of you may know that Sean has battled chronic illness for most of his life ranging from ulcerative colitis leading to the removal of his colon. He has recently been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and ilitis as well. He is on long term medications including infusion medications costing tens of thousands of dollars per infusion that is expected to continue indefinitely with few remaining alternative choices.  His wife Felisha is in her final term of nursing school, had a baby with a delivery full of complications, and now has a hole in the middle of her heart that needs to be repaired. Her condition requires surgery that will occur in the coming months. The surgery will hopefully be the least invasive option, but it could also be determined to need open heart surgery. The least invasive procedure costs upwards of $15,000. Sean works hard and is dedicated to his students as a paramedic instructor CNM, and managing a non-profit offering classes for the public. Felisha works as much as possible while in nursing school as an ER tech in Presbyterian’s downtown emergency room. Despite being insured the medical bills are racking up and they are now in collections. They have been living on a tight budget to try to pay for the mounting debt but with student loans and medical bills it is hard to catch up. I’ve known Sean for over a decade and worked together in different roles. Sean & Felisha have dedicated their lives to helping others in their communities, in health and education, and in places all over the world. They are well known for their service and compassion. Please help them catch up with anything you can. They work as hard as possible and every now and then people need our help.  Their medical bills currently total over $30,000 dollars with some of the projected heart treatment costs. Any amount given will help Sean, Felisha, and their beautiful baby Aveline to catch up.
