Hi everyone, my name is Cadence, and I’m raising funds to help my dog Scrunch continue his fight against an aggressive mast cell tumor.
If you know Scrunch, you know he’s got a personality bigger than his body — stubborn, opinionated, and full of attitude, but also deeply loyal once he decides you’re “his person.” He’s been my little shadow for years, and now he’s facing the biggest fight of his life.
Scrunch was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor, a fast-growing and unpredictable type of cancer that can spread if not carefully managed. His tumor sits on his chest, close to his heart, which makes treatment more delicate and surgery more complicated. He’s currently undergoing chemotherapy (Palladia) along with prednisone, Benadryl, and several other medications to keep the tumor under control and manage his symptoms.
We’re hoping the chemo will help shrink the tumor enough for surgery, which could give him more time and comfort — but that procedure will be very costly, on top of the ongoing vet visits, sedation, bloodwork, and medications he already needs.
As a full-time student supporting myself, it’s been extremely difficult to keep up with the growing expenses while still making sure Scrunch gets the care he deserves. I’m doing everything I can to help him stay comfortable, happy, and strong — whether that’s hand-feeding him his favorite meals, sitting with him during treatments, or keeping him cozy on his good days.
Every donation, no matter how small, helps cover:
Chemotherapy and vet visits
Bloodwork and sedation fees
Comfort meds, food, and supplements
Future surgery to remove the tumor once it’s safe to do so
If you can’t donate, even sharing this page means the world.
Scrunch has fought so hard already, and I just want to give him the best quality of life possible for as long as he wants to keep going.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping us through this journey.
