Help Scout Walk Again: Support His Back Surgery
Donation protected
As most people already know, my dog Scout is more than just a dog to me; he is my baby. Everywhere I go, he goes. We are a package deal. I love him more than anything!
Scout was diagnosed with a back injury today. Dachshunds are prone to IVDD, which stands for Intervertebral Disc Disease, and is a condition that occurs when the cushioning discs between a dog's vertebrae bulge or burst into the spinal cord. Scout has little to no feeling in his back two legs and is in a lot of pain. He has to have an MRI and surgery to remove the affected disc and reduce the pressure on his spinal cord. His procedure is scheduled for tomorrow morning.
The estimated cost of his MRI is $7,290.40, and the MRI plus surgery is $14,944.89. I think it goes without saying that this is a lot of money, but anyone that knows me knows that I would do anything for Scout! I will find a way to pay any amount for the health and safety of my baby!
If anyone out there knows Scout, can relate to our situation, or just loves cute dogs, please help support his road to recovery! Anything helps! Much love to all!
