Help Scout the miracle dog walk again!
Donation protected
On March 1st, 2024, our beloved Scout was struck by a car and left with two fractured vertebrae, hind leg paralysis, and a grim prognosis. Despite the heartbreaking recommendation to euthanize, we made the brave decision to choose life for her once again. Scout was rescued as a pup from neglect and has already overcome so much in her short life.
We adopted Scout knowing she had been returned twice before and struggled with anxiety. We knew there would be challenges ahead, but our love and devotion for her never wavered. After an MRI revealed her spinal cord was not severed, she was placed in a restrictive cast to heal. Now, she is slowly regaining movement and sensation in her hind legs.
However, Scout's journey to recovery is far from over. She requires costly cast replacements, daily medications, and around-the-clock care to ensure her comfort and well-being. In the coming months, she will need extensive physical therapy to strengthen her weakened muscles.
We have already spent $17,000 on Scout's care and therapy, we expect to spend another $5,000-15,000 and we are reaching out for help to continue supporting her on this difficult but hopeful journey. Your donation will make a world of difference in Scout's life, allowing us to provide her with the care and love she deserves. Please help us choose love and life for Scout. Thank you for your support.
