I’m creating this GoFundMe in hopes of getting help for a very sweet, well known and well loved neighborhood stray cat who desperately needs medical care. His name is Scotty. He was abandoned by his previous owners and left to fend for himself, but despite everything, he is one of the gentlest, most loving cats I’ve ever met.

I’ve been feeding and caring for him consistently for about a month. During that time, I noticed he was having trouble breathing and overall didn’t feel good. I knew I had to jump into action and do something. I managed to gather enough money to take him to the vet, where they did everything they could for him. That’s when I learned that scotty has FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) FIV is an incurable virus that weakens a cats immune system and makes it hard for them to fight off illness/infections. In addition to that diagnosis, I was informed that his teeth are causing him severe pain due to infection.

He needs dental surgery to extract all infected teeth and to address a few other minor medical issues. Altogether, his care is estimated to cost around $1,500 — an amount I simply cannot afford on my own.

Scotty is a cuddly, affectionate boy who deserves a chance at a healthy, pain‑free life. With your help, I can get him the treatment he needs and eventually find him a loving forever home where he’ll finally receive the care and affection he’s always deserved.
