Three years ago, my wife was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Since then, our lives have changed completely. She lost her job and her health insurance because she was too sick to work, and at 72, I’m working part time, but it’s just not enough to keep up with our bills. Every day, I watch her get weaker, and it’s heartbreaking to see the pain she’s going through. The doctors say her only hope is to have her cancerous lung removed, but without insurance, the costs are overwhelming.
We are struggling to pay for rent, utilities, food, and medication, as well as mounting medical bills. On top of that, we have veterinary bills for our beloved pets, who bring us comfort during these hard times. I’m afraid we could lose our home if things don’t change soon.
We are reaching out for help because we have nowhere else to turn. Any support you can give would mean the world to us and help us get through this incredibly difficult chapter. Thank you for reading our story and for any kindness you can offer.
