Hello,
My name is Cassandra Click. I am starting a fundraiser to help my brother Scott and his family with finances that he is currently unable to bring in on his own in this difficult time.
Some of you may remember that Scott found out last year that he had lung cancer and had a surgery that removed the majority of his left lung. Being the very strong-willed person that he is, Scott fougt valiantly and did the surgery along all of the chemo treatments and quickly got back on his feet to fulfill his duties and obligations of providing for his family. Scott has truly spent this last year living his life to the fullest and we are all so thankful to still have him with us.
However, things have taken a turn for the worst. when Scott had his surgery last year, part of what made him such a good candidate for the surgery was the fact that he was still young, healthy, and the cancer had not spread. Following that surgery, it was discovered that in fact there was still some cancer in the lymph node that could only be seen under a microscope. This was crushing to Scott's spirit because he realizes that a body can only take so much even when you have the will.
On November 14th my brother Scott was driving home from work and got lost for over 5 hours while suffering a terrible headache. After he returned home, he was taken to the ER and a CT scan was performed. On his brain they discovered a 2 cm lesion. Scott opted to do surgery to remove the lesion. Once Scott was out of surgery he suffered many seizures and had to be readdmitted several times after the initial release.
The state has taken Scott's driver's license due to the fact that he could suffer confusion or seizures in the future. He must also now have focal radiation treatments. He cannot work at this time and has no way to provide for his family or pay his medical bills.
Scott is now in stage 4 and he feels his days are numbered. I for one draw inspiration from Scott and know that many others do too. We are so hopeful for a future with him and want him to stay for as long as he can.
Updates will be provided as we have them.
