Help Scott say goodbye to his son, Austin.

Hi, my name is Amber, and this go fund me is for my husband, Scott. Scott is a proud veteran who has stage 4 Adenocarcinoma (appendix cancer). He’s fought a brave fight for almost 2 years. Anyone that knows him knows that his family is the most important thing to him.

 

This past Sunday Scott was admitted to the hospital with worsening symptoms and over the last few days after consultations with many doctors it was decided that they have done everything they can do for him. He came home yesterday on Hospice care.

 

Scott’s oldest son, Austin, is an active service member in the Army. He is currently in a school that he has been working towards for the past 2 years. It’s 22 days long and he is unable to leave until after his graduation on January 28th. We have been told that we do not have that long.

 

Our hospice team along with Scott’s oncologist has come up with a plan to help extend the time he has left by providing him with artificial nutrition called TPN which is administered via his port daily. He has a total bowel blockage and is unable to eat anything to provide sustenance. Our issue here is that we are looking at approximately $150 per day for the TPN to get us to Austin’s graduation.

 

Please help my husband to get the help he needs so that he will get to say goodbye to Austin before his time with us is up. Any donations will be greatly appreciated as we navigate this heartbreaking time.
