My name is Debra, and I’m a single mom of five grown children and a proud grandmother to 13 wonderful grandbabies. I’ve always worked hard and done my best to help my kids whenever they needed me. But right now, times are tough, and I’m not sure where else to turn. My son, Scott, has always been a caring and generous person, not just to me but to everyone around him. He’s dreamed of having a home of his own, a loving partner, and a family. He was able to buy a house and start building that dream with his girlfriend, and together they welcomed a beautiful daughter, Avery.


Unfortunately, things took a difficult turn when his girlfriend left and took Avery with her. It broke our hearts, but Scott fought hard for visitation and was overjoyed when he was able to spend time with his daughter again. However, the financial strain of child support, a car payment, house payment, and all the other bills has become overwhelming. Scott was laid off in November and has been doing side jobs to try to catch up, but it’s just not enough. As his mom, it hurts to see him struggling so much, and I wish I could do more to help. I’m reaching out because I don’t want to see him lose the home he’s worked so hard for.
