Hello, we’re Scott and Samara Miller — and we’re humbly asking for your support as we pursue our second attempt at IVF to build the family we’ve long dreamed of.
Our journey to parenthood hasn’t been easy. We met six years ago while Samara was in the U.S. from Brazil on a mission trip with her church. Our connection was instant, and our shared values — especially the deep desire for a family — brought us together. We were married seven months later. Shortly after we married, we began trying to conceive, filled with hope and excitement.
But the road has been far more difficult than we imagined.
Samara has struggled with endometriosis and PCOS. Before coming to the U.S., she underwent surgery in Brazil that led to the removal of one of her fallopian tubes. After a year of unsuccessful attempts to conceive naturally, we began working with fertility specialists. We tried medications, supplements, and multiple treatments — but after more extensive testing, we were told her remaining fallopian tube was completely blocked and her egg quality was low. IVF with donor eggs became our only option.
Our first IVF attempt was heartbreaking. Although we were we had the funds at the time and pursued the process, it was not successful. As anyone who has gone through this knows, IVF is not only financially draining — it’s emotionally and physically exhausting. But we have faith and are not giving up on our dream.
Since that attempt, life has thrown more challenges our way. Scott lost his father shortly after our unsuccessful IVF attempt. Samara’s mother suffered a stroke, requiring her to return to Brazil for several months. As small business owners, these personal events have deeply impacted our finances, and unfortunately, time is not on our side.
We are asking for help to afford a second round of IVF — and to keep our dream of having a family alive. Any contribution, no matter how small, means the world to us. Even if you’re unable to give financially, we deeply appreciate your prayers, positive thoughts, and the simple act of sharing our story.
If we are blessed with more than one viable embryo, we intend to give each one a chance at life — either through implantation or donation. This is not just about starting a family — it's about honoring the gift of life and the love that started it all.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading, for sharing, and for standing with us on this journey.
With much gratitude,
Scott & Samara Miller
