You’ve probably seen Scott McGrath behind the wheel of a Newcastle Transport bus, but next April you’ll hopefully see him chasing a huge dream — running the Boston Marathon 2026!

For those who don’t know, Boston is one of the toughest marathons to qualify for, and Scott’s put in the hard yards to earn his spot. Boston is the Longest running marathon and this year would be the 130 year anniversary.

Now comes the tricky part: actually getting there. Between flights, accommodation, race fees, and all the extras (hopefully bringing his family along to cheer him on), the costs really start to stack up.

Scott’s not the kind of bloke to ask for help, but as Scott’s colleagues, we’d love to help him make this dream happen, and give him the chance to focus on the running — not stressing about the dollars.
