Scott is my husband and the heart of our family. For most of our lives, he has worked multiple jobs to support us, often juggling three at a time. Just a week ago, while at his second job, Scott was found awake but unresponsive. He could barely speak and didn’t know where he was. After calling an ambulance, we learned he had pneumonia, but even more concerning, doctors discovered severe heart problems. His blood pressure and blood work were dangerously high, and he was showing signs of heart failure. He was transferred to another hospital, where we found out he needs open heart surgery to replace a valve, multiple stents, and treatment for blocked arteries and veins. Surgery can’t happen until his pneumonia clears, so we are in a difficult waiting period.
Scott is an incredible man who has always put others first. He’s worked tirelessly to care for me, especially since I can no longer work due to my own health issues. Now, with Scott unable to work, we have no income to cover our basic needs. We were finally getting back on track financially after filing for bankruptcy, but now we’re at risk of losing our home because we can’t make the payments. Scott’s last steady paycheck will come in six weeks, and after that, we’ll lose our insurance too.
Scott has always been the first to help anyone in need. Over the years, we’ve opened our home to children who needed a safe place, and he’s never hesitated to care for stray animals of all kinds. He’s the kind of person who gives without expecting anything in return. Now, we are the ones in need. We are asking for help to cover medical bills, living expenses, utilities, food, medicine, and to fix our car so we can get to appointments. We have always lived frugally and never asked for public assistance, but we can’t do this alone. If you are able, please help us get through this crisis. Your support will mean the world to us and help Scott recover so we can keep our home and continue caring for each other.
