In the past couple of months, I have faced a series of unexpected and overwhelming medical challenges. On March 7th, while playing pickleball with my grandson, I suffered a concussion, bruised ribs, a sternum injury, and a severe gash in my hand. This accident happened on my fiancé’s birthday and forced me to miss a week of work, followed by another week of restricted hours. Just as I was trying to recover, another accident occurred on April 20th. While my fiancé and I were taking our evening stroll, a broadband employee’s ladder came loose as we walked by. With kids and vehicles nearby, I rushed to help and managed to catch part of the ladder, but the other side struck my face. This resulted in a more severe concussion, and I am still experiencing memory loss and difficulty completing sentences. I have been under concussion protocol and am working with a concussion clinic to recover.

Unfortunately, things became even more difficult when, just two days after the ladder accident, I was hospitalized for pancreatitis. I spent five days in the hospital and am still unable to return to work. With no vacation time left, I have fallen behind on rent and bills, and the mounting medical expenses are adding to the pressure.
