On October 14, 2025, tragedy struck when Scott Watkins, a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend, was the victim of a horrific hit-and-run accident. He was left critically injured, fighting for his life after suffering shattered legs, broken arm, multiple broken ribs, blood in his lungs, loss of 11 units of blood leading to kidney failure, and countless deep flesh wounds.

By God’s grace, Scott survived — but his life will never be the same again. His road to recovery will be long, painful, and uncertain. He has already undergone several surgeries and faces many more, along with months (or even years) of rehabilitation just to regain basic mobility.

Scott is known for his kind spirit, sense of humor, and big heart. He’s the type of person who can make anyone smile, even on their hardest days. Now, this extremely strong and loving man who has always been there for others needs our help.

Because of his injuries, Scott is likely unable to work, and his family faces an overwhelming financial burden — from medical bills, and rehabilitation costs to home modifications and everyday living expenses.
