My brother Scott was admitted to the hospital after collapsing in the bathroom the night before Thanksgiving. Since then, he has remained in the hospital, and we recently received the devastating news that he has brain cancer. The hospital is now trying to discharge him because they need the bed, but Scott’s wish is to spend his remaining time at home, surrounded by family and comfort.

Last week, our mother also fell ill, which has made it even more difficult for us to care for Scott ourselves. Our family is small, and many relatives are far away and unable to come help right now. We’ve been running into countless obstacles with insurance, and unfortunately, Scott’s current coverage will not pay for the home care he desperately needs. We are doing everything we can, but we’re running out of options and resources.

We are humbly asking for help from anyone who can donate. We understand that the holidays are upon us and times are tough, but any support will help us provide Scott with the care and dignity he deserves at home.
