Help Scott Rebuild After Devastating Fire

Dear friends, family, and kind strangers,

This is a request for support for Scott Putnam. Scott is navigating the challenges of a recent divorce when a wild fire destroyed his home in Lyle, Washington on Tue 7/22/25. News brief on the fire

The fire caused Scott to lose all belongings, including computers, hard drives, sentimental items, bikes, skis, kiteboarding, rafting and camping gear, tools, and other necessities for rebuilding his life after the divorce. This loss has left him with absolutely nothing.

Scott is a resilient and wonderful person. The goal is to help him rebuild his life and find a safe and secure place to live again.

Funds raised will go directly to Scott to cover immediate needs, including:

Essential Necessities: Replace clothing, toiletries, and other vital items lost in the fire.

Long-Term Rebuilding: Help him find or build a new permanent home and replace essential furniture, appliances, and gear.

Scott would also accept any used gear not in use any more, including basic and technical clothes, wetsuit, Gore-tex jacket, warm or sun hats, ski goggles, sun glasses, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, tent, camp chair, road or mountain bikes, skis, ski boots, ski poles, climbing skins, crampons, avalanche shovel, avalanche beacon, kite board and kite wings, whitewater or sea kayak, backpack, day pack, or tools.
