Hi, my name is Trudy Johnson.
I am raising funds for my husband Scott who has been battling cancer for the past 5 years. Scott and I Have been married 29 blessed years .He is my best friend and an awesome stepfather. 5 years ago come 1/29 we suffered an unmanageable loss of our son, Timmy Vucic. Timmy was a firefighter for the Franklin TWP FD. And the Elmwood Place FD. Timmy was Diagnosed with Gastric esophageal lymphoma in 2019 and passed in 2021. During this period of time we came to find out that Scott also had cancer....he was diagnosed with stage 4 renal cell carcinoma, which led to the removal of one kidney, and placed on immunotherapy and chemo pills. These past few years have been rough and emotionally, physically and financially challenging-a short time Scott was taken off of the immunotherapy to give his body a rest since the cancer which is now lymphoma was not growing for the moment, and not spreading . but within this small time period Scott developed a massive blood clot from his neck to his hand, and the cancer has rapidly and aggressively grown and spread. He starts back on immunotherapy and two different chemotherapy pills; he also gets blood thinner injections twice daily. and he also receiving IV fluids for dehydration. until two months ago Scott was still working full time on light duty despite his condition. Scott never complained and enjoy working, But now he is no longer allowed to work due to his condition and is very stressed over it, as not able to provide any longer, but he is very eager to give his best to beat this despite the odds. he is on short-term disability, which is soon to run out. now with only one income, makes thing a bit difficult due to taking him to treatments , test and scans along with the IV fluids doctor appointments....at this moment we asking for any little help we can receive and prayers....Scott and I want to thank you for taking time to read His story and money given and your prayers.
