On August 25, my funny, creative, and big-hearted twin brother went to the ER with pain and stomach issues and was found to have a ruptured intestine/perforated bowel, which is a life-threatening condition. He had surgery and was getting ready to go home a week later when his white blood cell count went up and he began showing signs of sepsis. He was transferred to French Hospital in SLO where they found another leak, and he had to have a second surgery and spent several days in the ICU recovering.

Scott is finally home after almost a month in the hospital, but now he needs your help. He lives with our 80-year-old dad, who is on a fixed income and has shown tremendous dedication visiting him twice a day through this whole ordeal and now as his caregiver through Scott’s recovery. Scott will also be out on disability for five months and is looking at steep medical bills. I know times are tough for everyone right now, but any little bit helps, even kind words or a get-well card. Let’s help out Scott during this rough time and show how loved he is!
