Two weeks ago, our family’s world was turned upside down when our beloved Scott, just 34 years old, suffered a catastrophic aortic dissection.

Scott was rushed to hospital and underwent an incredibly complex 18-hour emergency surgery. He remains in ICU, where he is continuing to recover and face the many challenges that come with such a significant medical event.

Scott’s journey ahead will be a long one, with ongoing hospital care, rehabilitation and a period of adjustment as he works towards getting back to everyday life.

During this time, his partner Lara and our family are by his side, supporting Scott every step of the way. We have created this fundraiser to help ease the financial pressure that comes with such an unexpected and life-changing event.

Funds raised will help with medical and rehabilitation expenses, travel and everyday living costs, and provide support for Lara and the family while Scott remains in hospital and throughout his recovery.

Scott is loved enormously by his family and friends, and we are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love and support he has already received.
