My name is Holly Strawbridge and I’ve been so lucky to know Scott Strawbridge my entire life. If you’re visiting this page, you’re probably feeling lucky to know him too. My dad is one of the most caring, understanding and compassionate human beings I know. My dad is notably the person in my life who I've turned to for any kind of help, and I've seen so many others do the same - all knowing that he's always ready and willing to do whatever he can to be there for his family and community. Now, it's our turn to be there for him. We’ve started this GoFundMe simply to be a landing space for those who are looking to immediately help our family in covering the everyday expenses that will come with Scott’s new way of being.
Recently, Scott was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. On August 2nd, 2021 he will begin chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments at The University of Michigan Ann Arbor. We are doing everything we can to take the stress off of Dad so that he can focus on being well and responding to treatments. We appreciate so greatly any help that our community wants to add to that focus. The more we can rally, the more Dad can just focus on being well!
We know that many people are looking for different avenues and ways to help us, so we set up this GoFundMe to be one of those easily accessible outlets. Cancer takes a strong team, a community, and a lot of funds to battle - and we want to hit it head on, in whatever ways possible. Your donations will help us make sure that dad doesn't have to worry about funds for travel to clinical treatments, alternative therapies like Chinese Medicine & Body Work (Acupuncture, Massage, etc), and all around quality of life needs. Thank you so much for supporting Scott and all of us on this journey. We will continue to update this page and our CaringBridge Network page with information as Scott begins the process of treatment and healing.
