24 hours to go. Help Scott Nelson. It's his BDay

June 30, 2022

We are in the last 24 hours of the $30k x the 30th.

It's been 3.5 months since the car crash that changed Scott Nelson's life. While his physical recovery is progressing his mental, emotional, and financial recovery will continue for a while.

The large amount of gratitude Scott feels for everyone who has helped him along the road so far is immeasurable.

Just $4,277 away for the goal!!!

If you can dig a little deeper and give a little more your financial help will go a long way. Scott also still remains in need of rides.

Any and all help is appreciated.

UPDATE: FROM SCOTT: "THANK YOU TO ALL who have donated their money, rides, time and support. You and your generosity sincerely mean the world to me in this unsteady and unsure time in my life. THANK YOU and LOVE to you all."

Scott is doing what he can to get back to a normal semblance of life. He is playing gigs when he can and taking his dog Norm for short walks but SCOTT STILL NEEDS OUR HELP. Scott's physical recovery and emotional healing are going to be a long road. His daily activities are still gravely impacted by the accident. The offender was uninsured. Scott does not have means of transportation nor can he drive since the accident.

Please share this post with your friends and if you can give again please do. Every dollar helps ensure that Scott's basic needs are being met and that this accident doesn't ruin him.

March 16, Scott was driving for Uber to supplement his income as a professional musician. He was at I-35 and 11th Street when a reckless driver ran a red light at high speed slamming into Scott and sending his car spinning about 20-yards before coming to a stop. Seeing the photos of his totaled car affirms how lucky he is, and we are, that Scott is alive.

Scott's accident was just over three-weeks ago and his physical and emotional recovery and healing are going to be a long road. See the photos of his totaled car at the tow-yard affirms how lucky he is and we are that Scott is alive after being slammed into on the night of March 16 by a reckless driver who ran a red light at high speed.

Wednesday, March 16, Scott Nelson was driving across I-35 on 11th St when a driver barreled through a red light t-boning Scott on the driver's side. As a result, Scott's car was sent spinning 20 yards. The other driver only stopped when he went off an embankment and hit a telephone pole. Scott was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center where he was admitted and remained in the hospital for three and a half days. Scott suffered extensive soft tissue damage, three pelvic fractures and a fractured sternum.

Scott had begun driving with Uber several weeks ago to supplement his income as a musician. Unfortunately, as a result of this accident Scott will not be able to work for an undetermined amount of time, this includes driving and playing gigs. In addition, Scott has had to board his dog Norm because he cannot take Norm outside for the bathroom or walks.

This GoFundMe has been created to offer support to Scott during this difficult time. Scott's recovery includes physical as well as mental and emotional healing from such a traumatic accident. Scott needs financial assistance for his medical expenses, rent and utilities, groceries, and Norm's care. Any amount of financial assistance is greatly appreciated. If you cannot give financially but can offer rides, meals, visits, or messages of encouragement and support, this is also greatly appreciated.
