Help Scott in battling CML Cancer
Please help Scott and our family fight this battle!!
If you ever met Scott you would know that he is the hardest working man you’ve ever met. He’s an amazing father and partner. You would also know that he puts everyone and everything before himself. He goes above and beyond for not only his family but even friends, acquaintances, and strangers. He is the guy that everyone likes. He is known all around town. The most friendliest spirit of them all. He is the person who we all inspire to be, hardworking, dedicated, compassionate and appreciative of all things. He legit is that guy who lights up the room. Who can make everyone smile and laugh their ass off. If you know Scott, he’s probably helped you more than once. So I’m asking just once to help him back in his most needed time.
Scott went to the Emergency room on Friday, October 16 with severe pain on his side. They received a scan of the area which showed a mass but was hard to read due to Scott having internal bleeding. His labs came back showing he had a significantly high number of white blood cells with cancer only being the factor of why his levels were in the high 300,000’s. His labs also showed his hemoglobin dropped to the point that he needed blood transfusions. A procedure also was done to stop the internal bleeding. It did take a little bit to get Scott stable before he was transferred to the hospital of the University of Penn, where they specialize in blood disorders any many other things. It’s definitely still been a rocky road as certain levels have been hard to stabilize as far as his hemoglobin and the need of oxygen. Currently Scott’s spleen is enlarged as well as many of his other organs causing everything to press up against his lungs. The doctors felt all of his symptoms were pointing to a certain type of leukemia cancer called CML(chronic myeloid leukemia) A type of cancer that starts in certain blood forming cells of the bone marrow. In CML a genetic change takes place at some pointduring life so therefore a genetic test was able to confirm that he did in fact have CML. Also they were able to confirm that the mass he had was a hematoma. Scott has started treatment with chemo medications and though certain numbers are getting better and he’s getting better, he does have a long road in front of him. So I am starting this go fund me to help with whatever Scott needs help with. As it may be medical bills, treatments, doctor visits. Everyone knows that Scott is Superman and he still is but just this time we need to help him just focus and worry about him self. So we can get our Superman back!
