Hello everyone my name is Lauren I am creating this go fund me for my Husband Scott Austin who Friday evening was in what we would call a freak accident on a children’s 125cc 4-wheeler where he wasn’t going really fast but he was going to turn around a tree in our backyard, he went to make a right hand turn when the small 4-wheeler tipped to the left and he went to adjust hisself and catch the fall or tip his left foot somehow managed to get caught and break he was diagnosed and treated for (Left TIB/FIB FX)

left tibia-fibula fracture he stayed from Friday until Wednesday evening 4/3/26 - 4/8/26 Tuesday around 3:30 pm he went back for surgery and came out with what they call a box I will add pictures for reference and comparisons as to what a box is , he has his first therapy follow up appointment Monday 4/13/26 at 9:00am we found out today that insurance has cut him off due to the accident and we are stuck with a big bill we now have to pay for the upcoming appointment which is covered with what we have in savings that’s not including if they want to do another x-ray or the cleaning of the wounds and bandages which they do not want us cleaning at home, my husband will be out of work for up to 3 months depending on how well it heals over the next 6 weeks if he could work he would like he is but I won’t allow him to mess up his healing at all, we will also have to pay for each visit there on and the surgery to have the box removed.

We just bought our first home our mortgage payment is $1255.00 a month our home insurance is due on the 16th I paid half of it and the other half remaining is 392.00 it’s due only every 3 months, our cell phone bill, we have our vehicle insurance, phone and internet, our electric which is tied into heating and cooling.

we hate even having to create this or ask we hate asking others for help we love to do things on our own but we have no choice we have four boys two are in school two stay home we live in a small town known as Glen St. Mary, FL. He was working full time and I have a small business where I make pickled goods to sell I also bake, I bring in around 700-800 a month 1,000 if I’m lucky, I plan on busting my tail to produce a ton of my pickled goods as quickly as I can with two children at home and 2 out of school for spring break but also to help my husband get around the house because he’s in so much pain even with help of a walker because he’s hopping . Prayers are so much appreciated and we thank everyone for the prayers and the quick recoveries, we just are a little overwhelmed and thankful that it wasn’t much worse than it is, we hate to ask for help but we need to at this point so we don’t lose anything or fall behind to far anything is much appreciated and thank you if you do or even if you can’t we still thank you.
