For those who know Scott Chapple, one thing stands out above everything else... his enormous heart. Scott is a kind, generous, and hardworking man who has spent his life helping others, building lasting friendships, and sharing his love of music through singing. After dedicating many years to his career, he recently lost his job due to ongoing health challenges.
In 2019, Scott's life changed forever when his beloved wife, Linda, passed away suddenly from a massive heart attack in her sleep after nearly 30 years of marriage. She passed away beside him during the night. Like anyone would, Scott carried tremendous guilt, wondering if there was something he could have done differently. Although the coroner later confirmed that the heart attack was so severe that nothing could have saved her, the loss left a wound that never truly healed. He still misses Linda every day.
As Scott continued grieving, life dealt him one challenge after another. He has since lost several other close family members while facing a series of serious medical battles of his own. Severe blockages in both legs led to numerous attempts to restore blood flow, but complications from dangerously elevated creatinine levels made treatment extremely difficult. During this journey, Scott lost one kidney, though thankfully his remaining kidney continues to function well.
When conventional treatment was no longer an option, Scott was referred to renowned vascular specialist Dr. Ballard, who developed a rare, modified bypass procedure tailored specifically to Scott's unique medical condition. Thanks to Dr. Ballard's expertise and persistence, Scott was given a chance that few others could have received.
The combination of overwhelming medical expenses, prolonged recovery, and the inability to work has created an enormous financial burden. Today, we're asking our friends, family, and community to rally around Scott the way he has always been there for others.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will help with medical bills, everyday living expenses, and give Scott the opportunity to focus on healing instead of worrying about how he'll make ends meet. If you're unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with others is another meaningful way to help.
Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your generosity. Every contribution and every share reminds Scott that he is not facing this journey alone.
This Go Fund Me has been created by Carolyn Boyd & Tom Theobald. All donations will go directly into Scott's account.
