On September 16th, our lives changed forever. What was supposed to be a simple, routine colonoscopy for our Dad, Scott, quickly became something none of us could have imagined. After the procedure, doctors told us they had found what looked like a cancerous mass.

Just days later, our fears were confirmed — Stage IV colon cancer, which has spread to most of his liver. Hearing those words was absolutely devastating. In a matter of moments, everything felt uncertain.

But if you know our Dad, you know one thing for sure: he’s a fighter. Even through the shock, the endless tests, and the whirlwind of appointments, he’s faced every day with strength, positivity, and that same Scott humor that everyone loves.

He’s now working with an incredible team of doctors at Mass General and Cooley Dickinson, and will begin aggressive chemotherapy on October 21st. The goal is to shrink and control the tumors — and give him the best chance at future treatments or even a transplant down the road.

Despite the heavy news, Dad is staying strong in both body and spirit. He’s been focused on preparing himself physically, leaning on family, and holding onto faith. His faith has been his anchor — keeping him grounded, giving him peace, and reminding all of us that we are not walking this road alone.

We are creating this GoFundMe to help ease the financial stress that comes with this kind of battle — from medical expenses and travel to lost income during treatment. We want him to be able to focus fully on healing, without the constant worry of bills and logistics.

Our family has been overwhelmed by the love and support already shown to us. Every donation, prayer, or simple share of this page truly means more than we can express.

Dad is the heart of our family — a loving husband, father, Opa, son, friend, and the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. Now, it’s our turn to rally around him.
