Now, Scott is facing one of the toughest challenges of his life. Recently, he was diagnosed with ocular melanoma, a rare and aggressive form of eye cancer. The news has been overwhelming, not just emotionally but also financially. Without this treatment, the melanoma could spread to his lungs or liver, making time of the essence. Scott’s procedure date is scheduled for 2/5/26, and the urgency to secure the necessary funds is greater than ever. The treatment Scott needs, called plaque radiotherapy, may not be covered by his insurance. In addition to the treatment itself, Scott must pay out of pocket for the creation of the radiation plaque, crucial genetic testing, surgery-related expenses such as anesthesia, and ongoing follow-up care. These expenses are simply too much for Scott to manage alone. The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward covering the costs of Scott’s plaque radiotherapy, the creation of the radiation plaque, genetic testing, surgery-related expenses, and follow-up care.
