Help Scott Study Cinematography at NFTS
Hi, my name’s Scott. I’m 23, and I’ve just been accepted onto the Cinematography MA at the National Film and Television School. It's considered the best cinematography school in the world and has been my dream since I was 14, and finally, it’s happening.
I had to resort but to GoFundMe - because I have no other way of supporting the fees for this course! I don’t come from money and am on my own, journeying through life by getting by any way I can.
It hasn’t been a straight road into filmmaking. I’ve taken an idiosyncratic route, shooting whatever I could, however I could. Along the way, I made my short film Death of an Englishman while coordinating deliveries on the side - a project that was about telling the truth, documenting the world around me and breaking the conventional moulds of this medium. Experiences like that have shaped my vision as a filmmaker: to focus on overlooked communities, the world around you that you know, and stories rooted in truth.
Getting into NFTS isn’t just a dream come true - it’s also a chance to break away from the life that felt already laid out for me, and to carve a new path through cinema.

What I’m Asking For (It’s a lot - but it’s the difficult reality) -
Tuition fees: £14,950 per year.
Living expenses: I’ll be cutting this to the bare minimum, but I estimate around £12,000 per year.
Why Your Support Matters…
Every contribution - no matter how small will help me take this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. You’re not just helping me through the NFTS; you’re supporting the films I’ll be making and the career I’m building, rooted in stories that give a voice to people and places often left out of cinema.
If you can’t donate, simply sharing this page would mean the world.
Thank you for reading, and for helping me take this next step in my journey. This will change my life.
