Help Scott and Rebecca

Donation protected
On Friday, June 16, Scott was hit by a car as he crossed the street in Raleigh, NC. He was away from his home and family in Chicago.

Scott’s medical team at Wake Med performed an emergency craniotomy to relieve swelling in his brain. Since this time Scott has been in an induced coma while his brain begins the healing process.

Along with friends and family, Scott’s wife Rebecca and their young son Calvin are now with him in North Carolina, waiting for the point in his recovery when they can return home.

We have reason to be hopeful that time, the loving support of friends and family, and rehab will all help. Even so, there is a long road ahead. Please join us in lightening the load along the way.

Your financial support helps the Stealeys in countless ways. Most critically at this moment, your donations will defray the cost of Scott’s medical transport home to Chicago, which we don’t expect will be covered by his insurance.

Once home, the plan is for Scott to begin rehab at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, a leading light in helping people recover from injuries like Scott’s.

Please join us in our hope and commitment to our beloved Scott, Rebecca and Calvin. Let’s get them home and on their way.

Please note: whether or not you are able to contribute financially, there are other ways to help. If you are looking for other ways to pitch in, please get in touch.
