Help Scott and Michelle restore their home
Donation protected
Scott and Michelle Cridland lost their home in the catastrophic 1 in 1000 year East Coast floods this week.
Scott and Michelle were required to hastily abandon their Broadwater home last Monday as water began inundating their community. They were notified by SES workers to evacuate as the situation escalated rapidly.
Michelle and Scott took every precaution in safely stowing their valuables in elevated positions, although the level of inundation rendered their efforts futile, as water levels peaked to roof-levels.
Scott and Michelle were confined to their car for safety, with no food nor alternative accommodation possible for several days. They endured these conditions while experiencing intense grief and shock at the devastating destruction of their local community, and loss beloved and freshly renovated home.
Family and friends of Scott and Michelle know they are house-proud people who have dedicated years to renovating their picture-perfect home. Michelle recently posted on Instgram about her delight to finally near completion of their renovation and decorating efforts.
Scott and Michelle will now face enormous debt repaying the costs of the dream renovation they never got to enjoy together. Moreover, they will need to cover the significant costs of alternative accommodation, removing bulk waste, potential structural demolition, a complete interior rebuild, and replacement of their entire life's assets.
We appeal to all friends, family, the community, and kind strangers to support Michelle and Scott through this devastating tragedy.
