I'm trying to raise some funds for my dad and his wife to ease their struggles as they navigate through my dad's recent medical emergency. My dad, Scott, was admitted to the hospital with very little kidney function. They've since had to put a port in his neck and have began dialysis treatments. He had a negative reaction to the first round of dialysis and experienced complications with his heart as well. He continued having negative reactions to treatments for several days, until the doctors have finally concluded that he may have a rare autoimmune disease that is causing his immune system to attack his kidneys. His doctors have started him on daily dialysis and chemo treatments that will need to continue indefinitely. He's been out of work since he fell ill, and with daily treatments at the hospital, we aren't sure when he will be able to return to work. His wife, Erica, has been working tirelessly at her job and at home to ensure the bills and all of their pets will be taken care of. Anything to help lessen a bit of the stress they're both facing during this time is greatly appreciated!

Update as of 4/10/25:

Dad has been admitted again and is in the ICU this time. The official diagnosis is Goodpasture's Syndrome, and it is now attacking his lungs as well as his kidneys. The fluid and blood in his lungs has been causing complications with his heart and blood pressure as well. They are doing a variety of treatments continuously to keep him alive, and doing everything that they can, but he may still be several more months in the hospital.
