Hi my name is Amanda and my dad Scott was diagnosed with lung cancer last August. He was able to manage everything pretty well and recovered much easier then doctors think he will this time. He just found out 2 months ago he now has stage three cancer and it’s not something that can be treated with radiation or surgery bc it’s continuing to spread to other lymph nodes already in the past 2 months. He also has a neurological issues that is making him barely able to walk on his own. The doctors think it Paraneoplastic syndrome which is a group of rare disorders that are triggered by an abnormal immune system response to a cancerous tumor known as a "neoplasm”. He will need extra testing and treatment for that also.
My father is one of the most hardworking men I’ve ever met and has been doing landscaping work his whole life. He will most likely be out of work for sometime ( if not permanently) and his medical expenses are going to take a toll on him and my mother financially. This will be a long process of getting him back to health. So I’m reaching out to friends and family who may be able to donate to some of these medical expenses! My mom is an extremely hardworking women also and is trying to work up to 6 days a week long hours to help with finances but my father my also need her to be with him bc he’s likely to be very very sick from the chemo treatments.
I know any help at all would be appreciated and maybe make this journey for them a little easier! Also any prayers or positive thought is also greatly appreciated by my parents!! Thank you everyone!
