Yesterday, tragedy struck when Scott Amsdill and Amanda B. lost everything they own in a devastating house fire. In the blink of an eye, they went from building a loving home to standing in front of the ashes of everything they had worked for.

Scott and Amanda are not just members of the recovery community — they are pillars of it. Scott opened an Oxford House right here in Niagara Falls, giving people like me a chance to grow, heal, and rebuild our lives. In that home, he helped many others mature in their sobriety, and together we formed what we proudly call The Wolfpack — a family built not by blood, but by shared strength and the determination to recover.

This couple has always been the first to lend a hand, whether it’s supporting someone through early recovery, giving rides to meetings, or simply being there when someone needs to talk. They’ve given countless hours to help others, expecting nothing in return.

Recently, they welcomed a beautiful newborn into their family, Lukas— a blessing that made their home feel more complete than ever. Now, with no house to bring their baby back to, they face an unimaginable challenge.

Today, it’s our turn to be there for them. We’re asking the recovery community and all who know the heart of Scott and Amanda to help them start over. Every dollar will go toward securing a safe place to live, replacing basic necessities, and rebuilding the life they’ve worked so hard to create.
