Help Scott Access Essential Cancer Treatment

Many people are proud to call Scott Davies their friend, and I am one of them. If you grew up in Folsom, CA, and went to Folsom High School, graduating in the '80s, then you knew Scott.
I’m sure you have memories etched forever in your mind of what a great friend Scott was to everyone. Amazingly, Scott was and still is that incredibly great friend. Many of us, including Scott, share a special bond that can never be broken. We had some of the best times of our lives together growing up in Folsom. Countless stories that, now 40+ years later, are just as funny as they were then. Best of all, we continue to add to these stories!
Sadly, our friend Scott has been in the battle of his life, fighting cancer for a while now. Scott was diagnosed with prostate cancer at the end of 2020. He had surgery in March 2021, and sepsis set in immediately after surgery. For 10 days, Scott waged a battle to live, and thankfully won! Good news followed; he was told that he was cancer-free.
But then something happened. Scott’s PSA (prostate-specific antigen) started to rise. It should only be present if a person still has a prostate (or prostate cancer).
This was not a good sign, and unfortunately, Scott’s urologist did nothing for two years! The inaction of his doctor robbed Scott of an early treatment option and the potential spread of disease.
The worst is now known; a recent scan has revealed several spots on Scott’s spine and lymph nodes.
A good friend and cancer scientist shared information with Scott about a doctor in Japan who is a genius when it comes to the prostate. His name is Dr. Sato, and he utilizes a scan only available for brain cancer here in the United States. The precision of this scan is what’s important and necessary. The results of the scan yield details that could provide both exact and expert advice for potential treatments from this Japanese doctor.
This GoFundMe has been set up to help Scott travel to Japan to receive the scan and treatment by Dr. Sato. Every dollar raised will be spent by Scott for airfare, hotel stays, and the cost of the scan and treatment by Dr. Sato.
Because Scott’s PSA level is high, there is urgency in raising funds to give to Scott. There is urgency in prayer, as well. Scott believes in the power of prayer and that nothing is impossible to God.
Please help with any amount you can and please share this GoFundMe with others.
Thank you!
