Hello! I'm Scotia, a transgender furry in Pennsylvania. For the past few years, I've owed the car I'm using to my brother. He purchased it in an effort to help me out in a hard time, with the understanding I wouldn't be able to get it to him right away, but 3 years later I still have it here. I have been unable to get a replacement vehicle for work ever since.
Considering how everything is going politically, and the overall political leaning of my blood family, I do not want to be in their palm. I need to do this as soon as possible, so now I'm asking for help.
In addition, there have been some upkeep needs. It would not be fair to him to finally give the car and then for him to sink more money fixing the wear I put on it these past years. All tires and rear brakes/rotors need replacing. There are a few other issues, but they're not as imminent.
I can manage to get a lease on a reliable vehicle for a decent price.
Thank you so much for reading this far, and for any help and signal boosting you can give. ❤️
Here is the breakdown that I'm looking at:
$4,000 for the down payment.
$349 for the second month's lease payment, since my new job won't pay me until early March.
$500 for the old car's rear brakes/rotors
Total: $4,849
Secondary goals, not critical:
$400 to replace an inner tie rod.
$400 to replace the tires.
Extra help total: $5,649
