Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

My precious 10-year-old cockapoo, Scotch, has been through so much over the past year and a half, and we are facing a critical moment where he needs your support to cover life-saving veterinary expenses.

Scotch was diagnosed with glaucoma in September 2023. It was a devastating blow, as glaucoma is a painful and progressive condition that rob dogs of their vision. In October 2023, his right eye had to be surgically removed because his eye pressure reached an alarming level over 99, causing severe pain. The surgery was the only option to save him from ongoing suffering, and it was a difficult but necessary decision.

For months after that, Scotch’s left eye remained a constant concern. His eye pressure was also very high, but thanks to medication and frequent eye drops three times a day, his pressure was able to stay under control. Unfortunately, in February 2025, his medication failed, and his eye pressure spiked again, causing excruciating pain. The vet strongly recommended that we immediately remove his left eye to stop the suffering and alleviate his pain. At this point, the decision was truly life or death for Scotch – it was either get his second eye removed, or we would have to consider putting him down to end his pain.

After all the love and joy Scotch has brought into my life, I couldn’t bear the thought of losing him, but I also knew that I had to do whatever I could to give him a chance to live comfortably. So, we made the difficult decision to move forward with the surgery.

This brings me to the reason I’m reaching out. Between the costs of both surgeries, emergency visits, medications, and follow-up care, the vet bills have become overwhelming. I’m asking for your help to raise funds to cover the costs of both of Scotch's eye removal surgeries and the medical care he has received over the past year and a half.

Scotch has been by my side for so many years, providing unwavering love, companionship, and joy. He has a spirit that shines even brighter than his cute little face, and it breaks my heart to see him lose his sight. He deserves to live the rest of his life as comfortably as possible, and I want to ensure that he has the best care to recover fully.
