Scooter was born on June 28, 2023. He was born with hydrocephalus which was caused by genetic condition, called L1CAM Syndrome. Scooters parents, Braden and Chloe, both work full-time to be able to support him and give him every opportunity available to thrive in every way possible. They do not like to ask for help, financially, which is why we are keeping the fundraiser private from them. However, we know that they will truly appreciate and be blessed by any donations they receive. Currently, Scooter has a variety of therapies 3 to 4 times a week. He has many doctors appointments throughout the year.
Scooter will have many needs in the future. The biggest need right now is to get him into an intensive therapy session at All Kids are Perfect (AKAP) in North Carolina. They have a Facebook page you can view to see what they are all about! The next priority would be some things that have been suggested to help possibly help with his Cortical Vision Impairment (CVI). He has an upcoming appointment where we will learn more about this.
Since Scooter is still so young, we don’t know for sure the extent of his future needs. Many kids like Scooter eventually need a wheelchair accessible van and handicapped accessible additions to their homes.
We want to thank everyone in advance for supporting our Scooter Bug. If you can’t support financially, you can still support Scooter by praying for him and Chloe and Braden.
