Scooter St. Vincent’s journey began in front of a thrift store called St Vincent Du Paul, where I found him eating roadkill in traffic. He was severely emaciated and clearly near death, and I felt an overwhelming pull to help him. Even though I had never rescued a dog before—especially not a large one—I knew I had to act. I was scared and uncertain, taking things hour by hour, but determined to change the cycle and bring Scooter back to life.

After bringing Scooter to the vet, it became clear he would need ongoing care: regular weight checks, a special diet, medication, and further vet visits. He also needs training and supplies, including the pet fee for my apartment. I want to give Scooter the best chance at a happy, healthy life, where he can thrive with my children, myself, and others. With proper support, I believe he can become a well-adjusted, joyful companion.
